I've put a few more DEC photos
(
http://www.simulogics.com/nostalgia/dec/dec.htm) on our DG site(!), mostly
of the PDP-10, and some other new photos in the main DG nostalgia that shows
the DG equivalent Nova pedestal "form
factor"(
http://www.simulogics.com/nostalgia/nostalgia.htm). I have never
seen an actual 8/I or Nova pedestal system in person and do not know anybody
who has managed to collect one. Are they even functional? A figment only
of marketing?
But they sure are "cool". And DEC used a stylized print of the 8/I on some
of its manuals in the late 60s and early 70s because it looked so good.
