In some ways, I believe EBay has helped the hobby by putting real value
on items which would otherwise end up in the trash. If you thought you
could get $100 for an old TV would you throw it away? Or would you try
to sell it? Granted, the prices of some stuff has gotten ridiculous,
but that seems to be true in general (a sign of getting old, perhaps?)
