8-bit Atari's

I have a weird problem with Atari 8-bit stuff...
I have a 1020 printer, an 850 interface, and a 400 computer, and two 9v
AC power supplies. Nothing works with any of them... The 1020 and its
powersupply were new in the box (shrinkwrapped and all)

Is this a common problem?
