I'll assume we're talking micro's here. . .

If I recall correctly, the only classic systems that are really
sought after are the more well known single-board and S-100
system (e.g. Altair, Imsai, Apple I, etc.) These are now museum pieces,
and will fetch a high price ($1000+)

There are plenty of lesser-known boards, and of course the 80's
era desktop computers (TRS-80, TI, Atari, etc.) that can still be
had for a song, if you know where to look. . .
