You would have to check out the frequency of the original monitor and
make sure you can match that on a Local one, check out the peak to peak
voltage for the signal also, some are 1V peak to peak others are 0.7V
peak to peak. Also the polarity and voltage of the Synch signal might be
different.

if the power adapter delivers 9VDC you should be in good shape, if it is
9VAC then you might want to find out if any of the AC juice is used
before the bridge and regulator.
