It's not the resolution that matters, it's the scan rates. I'm quite sure
I could figure out a way to drive an SVGA monitor at 4*2 resolution if I
had to :-)

I believe the Multisync II can sync to 15kHz horizontal rates (which is
the difficult one to fiddle).
