Thanks and TRS-80 Score (was Re: Wanted stuff (Was: Pretty good week))

Cool. the RCA 1802 stuff is pretty rare, so I don't expect to
find one tomorrow.

        I just scored a TRS-80 model 1, 16K with level II basic. I
found it in an antique shop - the lady obviously didn't know anything
about computers and just wanted to recoup her costs. She had marked
it at $50, I offered $10, and walked away paying $25. I feel like I
payed too much, still if I had bought across the net and payed
shipping it would have been a wash or more I guess.

The thing is _dusty_ but functional. It lacks an EI, Cassette
Tape interface (also the Cassette Interface cables), numeric keypad,
and a lower case Mod (it only displays upper case). The monitor works
but the brightness control seems to be dying. Also, it tends to flash
brighter and softer intermittantly. Anyone know what causes this?

The main unit seems to work just fine... think I did OK for
$25?
