You want to avoid having your modem interrupt your voice communications?
Normally its the other way around, and there are cheap devices you can buy
to accomplish this. But I don't know that I understand what your problem
is. Modems don't generally start transmitting on their own while you're
on the phone, unless they're from the movies where stuff like that can
happen.
