Permanent magnets, though, are permanent magnets. My Klipschorns will
distort a 35" TV noticeably at 18".

Well, there's your problem, right there. (: Micropolis drives that are not
5.25" full height or larger are terrible. Not to mention Micropolis went
out of business in November. The hardware can sense the warranty fields
withering...
