Jason, I'm trying to do the exact same thing and have had no success
either. My conclusion is that Win95 is just not capable of handling
multiple protocol stacks. I've tried before to have two TCP/IP stacks
over different mediums, one being my cable modem and the other being a
dialup. My cable modem went down one day so I tried to revert to the
dialup connection. I tried everything, including tearing out the TCP/IP
configuration for the cable modem and I STILL could not get the dialup
connection working.
Since this is off-topic, I'd rather take this off-list with whomever
thinks they can help out. Right now I'm trying to setup another machine
that I'd like to be able to access the machine with my cable modem, just
so I can transfer files back and forth between the two. So far I've been
unsuccessful.
I think I know the solution to this problem though...skip the Win95
bullshit and go right to setting up my Linux server finally.
