Nope. Wrong. It was a spy satellite. Years ago, most spy satellites
were launched from Vandenburg but more and more of them are being launched
from KSC. It's supposed to take a year or more to replace the failed
communications satellite. They've moved some some others around in their
orbits to provide temporary coverage for the failed one.
