Integer Basic and ProDOS are not synonymous. You might be referring to
DOS 3.3, which a lot of people (like me) prefer to ProDOS for a number of
reasons. At any rate, the reason it doesn't run ProDOS is because Apple
specifically crippled ProDOS so it couldn't run on clones. There are
patches that can be applied to ProDOS to make it work on clones like the
Franklin. I just don't know what they are or where to find them. A good
place to start would be to pose the question on comp.sys.apple2.
