I bought my 32K PET in 1978 at the Micro Mini Computer Store in Columbus,
Ohio, the only place for 100 miles to buy PETs. I never saw them at
department stores. It was $1000 plus $100 for the external tape. When I
used it every day, I was never able to afford a disk drive (by the time
4040's got cheap, I had moved on to Amigas).
