Not very long. Most people have forgotten that IBM DOS 1.0 only supported the
160K disk format (single-sided, 8 sectors per track). In fact, most people
have forgotten that there even *was* a 160K format, but the DOS FORMAT command
supports it to this day, along with the 180K and 320K formats, and the much
better known 360K format.
