I wouldn't want to think about the number of batteries required to keep a
KI-10 running (you'd need a fair few just to keep the lights running :-)
and then there's the disks too.
My computer room was specially built to house a DECsystem-10. It's long
gone, but the room is full of modern systems (about 60 of them) and we draw
less power (and generate far less heat) than the old -10 ever did...
