Well the Epson PX-8 (aka Geneva) manuals specifically state that no dates
after 1999 are acceptable. I guess mine will just have to live in the '80s :-)

Talking about the PX-8 can anyone confirm that the batteries in the "wedge"
are just plain old ni-cads? The ones that were in mine were covered in
"snow" and I've removed them to avoid any possibility of damage. As a
result, I don't have a working A:
