News flash. In the PDP-11 line the Falcon and related KXT-11 cards
were indeed single board version of the PDP-11 for embeddded controls use.
I'd guess there are not less that 100,000 of them in service.
They were base on the T-11 cpu which is a 40pin dip version of the LSI-11
cpu though faster.
