MicroVAX 3100 Problem

| If you don't care about the tape, then from the front of the drive look at
| the right hand side. There is a little motor with a corkscrew like
| mechanism on it. Press back against the spring with your finger and you
| should be able to operate the lever, then remove the tape cartridge and

On my drive (TZ30) it appeared to be a solenoid but I found it and got the cartridge out.

Yes I have ;-)

There is a piece of plastic, like thick tape, attached to the takeup spool which hooks into the leader, how should this be positioned in the drive so that it can load the tape correctly when I have put it back together again?
