I just rescued a server as well... had never seen one like it before. It's
a Texas Instruments server, looks rather like a DEC-like server, but grey
and uses a 68030 processor. Not sure what kind of RAM, HD, bus, or anything
else, but it does have a *lot* of 6150 QIC tape cartridges, the backups
were marked '95. It came from (I believe) the local Ford dealership, as it
has a Ford logo on the front case. There were also 2 std. parallel printers
(on stands) that I wasn't really interested in (I have *lots* of printers).
Does anyone have any clues to:
1) When was the box actually built? I've not had time to tear it apart and
check chip date codes...
2) the pin-outs for the RJ-11-ish serial cables - are they similar to
DEC's? The jacks look similar, and I might be able to find a cable...
Any help with this beastie would be most appreciated!
Thanks,
Roger "Merch" Merchberger

Recycling is good, right??? Ok, so I'll recycle an old .sig.
