  Sounds like my kitchen. It currently occupied by an Alpha Micro 100, a
dual 8" drive cabinet for an Altair and a few others. Yes, I still cook
there, just have to step around stuff.

   That's common with the HPs. The tape drive wheel melts and doesn't drive
the tape and the motor runs and runs. I don't think they ever time out,
they seem to just keep running and waiting for the tape to get where it
should be.

  Glad to hear someone else out there has a 9845.
