Hi
 Unless you have access to a battery spot welder, make sure
and leave a little bit of the tab to solder to. Soldering
directly to the case of a cell will cause the burst seal
to rupture. Not only will the electrolite make a mess
of anything it gets on, the cell will dry out and need to
be replaced in a month or so.
