You drove 1500 miles to maybe find the correct connector? Did I mention I'm
part owner of the Brooklyn bridge, and could be persuaded to sell my
interests in it for a reasonable fee?

Were the ones you bought usable with standard IDE ribbon cable? or were
they solder eyelet versions? I see Digikey sells these with solder eyelets,
but the smallest they sell is a 44 connector, and we're looking for 36...
I'm not in immediate need for this, but it would be a great thing to
buy a supply of while they are still available.
