PayPal is no different from sending a check or money order. Once a
check has been cashed, you have NO recourse short of litigation.

I like paypal because the transaction happens immediately. The
seller can claim he hasn't received the money, but you have the
paypal report to prove you sent it. This lets you file a fraud
report (and insurance claim) that much sooner.
