Very interesting, I await the views of the wise ones on this list. Sounds
like the 1097 internally is "ready" for a 5 BNC setup, ie the circuit board
is there waiting for the parts.

If I lug home the two 1097C monitors I know about and it doesn't work,
grrrr. ;)

BTW all the changes are in the monitor, and it will only work at the same
basic fixed frequency, so yes you will need a small DOS monitor for the
640x480 stuff and a card that supports the correct frequency range.
