adapting a Mac/sony monitor to a pc

I don't have the pinouts but can reverse engineer a cable
I have for a Sony 14" VGA/multiscan ca.1988. The monitor has a
db 15 female connector in the back, plus the appropriate cable,
sounds like what you have.
