Earl, excellent article! If I'd known you had written this before I
wrote mine I don't know if I would've bothered.

We touch upon pretty much the same themes, although your article
complemented mine in places and gave me new ideas (thanks! :)

You included Garage Sales which I neglected, mostly because they rarely
turn up anything of interest, although I did buy a complete Tandy 1000
system at a garage sale around the corner from my house one day which I
needed a photo of for someone writing a book.

Also, I think I'll mention Pawn Shops in a revised edition, mostly to warn
people not to even bother. Anything they have will be too recent to be of
any interest, and they certainly wouldn't give anyone good money for an
old piece of junk computer, and thus have any for sale. Also, the stuff
they sell is, in my experience, horribly over-priced, sometimes over
retail!

That sounds great. I'll get the revised edition finished shortly and
submit it to you. I'm in the process of re-vamping the VCF website and
will start to include content periodically, so perhaps I'll link to YOUR
article as well :)
