Pal and NTSC

I have a BBC Model B, modified for US power. It spits out a 625-line
picture somewhere around (US) UHF TV channel 35 or so (haven't fired
it up in years,though).

Since the output is 625-lines (normal US TV is 525 lines) some of
the top and bottom of the screen is missing. Also since PAL
encodes color differently from NTSC, the picture is black and white...
