Well, in answer to my question of are people interested, it looks as if
there are. I think I can get an initial system setup without to much
difficulty.

Not quite what I was meaning.....

Basically I'm thinking that having the accounts cloned on all systems might
be a desirable thing. Which brings up the question of how you'd get those
accounts built on all the systems.... Actually now that I think about it
this could be done fairly easy. Just have a batch job that goes out and
poles other systems, then copies the needed info and adds the accounts to
that system.

It would probably be fairly easy to have the necessary work done when the
initial account is created. Something like the following chain of events.

1. User connects to systems and asks for an account to be created.
2. User creation DCL script is created
3. Script run on initial system and copied to other systems
4. Batch job checks for scripts that need to be run and runs them

Now for another question, how would people want to connect? I see three
possible ways:

Dialup
ssh
DECnet
Telnet <-- I think this shouldn't be used, but it's easy.

Anyway I'll now see about getting the hardware necessare collected, and see
if I can't maybe even find time tonite to get it loaded.
