You can set dip switches on the console board to change that.

I've never experienced this, and it doesn't use any external overtemp sensors.

It costs several hundred bucks to get one of those Mighty-Mites repaired; it's
a lot cheaper to get a replacement from salvage. If you open one of them up,
you'll see why; unlike DEC power supplies a Mighty-Mite is a nightmare to
repair.
