Were they worried about the language, or the meaning of the acronym?
I once named a Sparcstation "mofo" and it carries that tag to this day.

I've alway wondered if Morrison and Foerster thought about it before they
picked the name of their website (mofo.com). I guess it's approprate for
the subject matter.
