Very rarely is the Failed Unibus Address Register pointing to the
failed device... often the DW780 is the problem.

This problem drove me to drink -- literally. It only happened once in
my career.

I know this from 24 hours of troubleshooting one in the mid 80's
(of course the Go-Go bar next door wasn't the best place to go for
lunch if quality diagnostic techniques were to be used.)

It took 4 hours between failure and the customer wouldn't give the
machine up too long. Took two swaps of DW780 boards two at a time
to fix it. Had to wait in the go-go bar next door.

The boards that were bad (intermittant) were the two that the
diagnostics didn't call out for the fault type we were getting.

This was probably where DEC Field Circus got it's name and reputation.
I WALKED back to the site next door instead of driving because
I figured I couldn't drive legally due to the content of lunch.
