Swapping CRTs

I have an IBM System 23 with a badly burned screen.
The CRT is a 12 inch monochrome green screen. Does
anyone know whether I can replace the CRT with the 12"
green monitor CRT that came with the original IBM PC
(and which are easy to find)? The model no. of that
monitor is 5131?

Even pure speculation as to whether this would work
would be appreciated. Thanks.
