It's my understanding that the 8500 had a real serial port and a hard drive
interface (optional?). I think there was more also. I'd never really heard
of it until I went looking for info on the 8000. My freind ran a BBS off the
ATR with a hard drive. I always assumed that it was attached to the 8000.
