There is a forsale newsgroup: um.forsale for U of MD. Sometimes folks
for UMich show up. 'UM' shouldn't be used, just like a state code of
simply 'M' shouldn't be used. I mean I could see the folks in Minnesota
becoming indignant with the folks from Missouri and vive versa claiming
why each SHOULD really be THE 'M'! And right about them folks from
Mississippi will chime in. UMD works unambiguously, and so on.
