I think system 7.1? You can however run a neato unix system on it named
MiNT. MiNT is a bsd variant that runs on 68k boxes that don't have an mmu
or fpu onboard. Of course if you have these chips on a later-model
machine so much the better.

I run it on my 4mb Atari Mega St and am pretty happy with it.

Just do a websearch for SpareMint or MacMint.
