Yes, I read that too and proceeded to search for my first post.
I could not find it; I think that the archive is still incomplete.
I should have shown up as EG200123_at_vmtecmex.bitnet sometime in
1988-89 (the digits might be wrong). We had to be routed
through ksuvm.ksu.edu or ricevm1.rice.edu . For a while
we used bang-paths...
