I've actually been machinating such an event for the VCF. Not this year,
but for next year. A heap of old computers of all kinds in various states
of disassembly or completeness is thrown into a couple piles, and each
team has to assemble a working computer out of the parts.
Imagine a PDP 11/34 CPU with a TRS-80 keyboard, an Apple ][ disk drive and
a C64 motherboard with CRT for a terminal interface :)
