There's DEC Standard numbering IIRC...

000000000111111111 So that's 18 pins per row -- two sided AA1 AA2 etc
123456789012345678 is 36 times 2 slots an you get 72 pins -- I think.
I checked the pins with the VAX 11/750 Hardware Maintenance Handbook
