GPX is 8 bit color 1024X864 60 Hz refresh (for VR290,VR297 etc)
SPX can do 8 bit color 1280x1024 66 Hz refresh (for VRT16, VRT19 etc)
SPX is about 3 times as fast as GPX (24 Mpixels/s versus 8) AFAICR
