For the OS you can always order the OpenVMS Hobbyist CD and get V7.2,
which is newer and has fewer problems. The eBay set has V6.0, which is
way out of date and had quite a few bugs. If I were going to run a
V6.x I'd want to run V6.2. I remember a few problems with V6.0 that
were all "VMS Engineerings plans to address this in a future release".
So the best option would be to use just the layered products from the
eBay set and use the OpenVMS Hobbyist CD for the OS and the few newer
layered products that are included on it.
