Intertec (Superbrain) called their format "QUAD density" when they went to
double sided on their MFM 48 tpi.
So, then when they came out with a 2 sided MFM 96 tpi format (720K), since
they had used up the name QUAD, they called it "SUPER density", which they
abbreviated "SD"!
