It is the MXV21 formating a disk. :-)
simply do a
d/p/w 20001E78 109
d/p/w 20001E7A 92
at the VAX console and the drive starts to format. OK. The next step is
to write data to the medium and read them back.

Ahhh, reading / writing and DMA from / to memory does work also. :-)))
