I remember a chem. instuctor in 1st year Sci who overheated some in a
demo lab instuction class and filled the 300 seat lecture room with thick
purple smoke necessitating it's evacuation. It was hilarious.
I've often wondered if he hadn't done it on purpose, as he was an amusing
instructor with a Columbo-like personality.
