OT: paging MAC expert(s) --- What's a Performa?

I have about a dozen I have collected up cheap. My plan is to replace the
LC processor with a full 040 (with fpu), drop in a big cheap IDE drive and
use them as network storage and other servers.

They are about the least likely old mac for trying to salvage something out of.
