I know the feeling. I was just given "notice" myself. I work untill the 14th
of September, and then I join the ranks of the unemployed. Fortunately, I'm
getting a nice severance package so I'll be able to enjoy a little time off
to tinker with my old computers, and work on my web page, etc. Being laid
off is a rotten feeling, and this is my second time in 3 years so I
understand how low it can make you feel. I guess there are many of us out
there in the same boat now but hang in there, and come back when you feel
better.
