Semi-OT: Has any interfaced a 360K floppy to apentium-class PC?

No. I tried two different cables, both new, but only have
one 360K drive. If anyone wants to send me a good 360K
drive
to compare against, I won't complain. ;)

I forgot to mention, I also tried it on my Linux box
with a K6-2 350. Also no dice with any of the 360K drivers.
