Perhaps. Probably. I know all the employees on the Mac team got an

Maybe just the initial prototypes didn't have them. It was part of the
molding plates.

All of the retail Macs and Mac Plusses had them.

Odd.

But anyway, some losers use this as a tactic to get unsuspecting bidders
to bid up a Mac auction for no good reason. It borders on fraudulent.
It's certainly sleazy.
