turning off volume shadowing on VMS?

ahh, one more question. How can I turn off volume
shadowing on VMS 7.2 (?). I need to get physical access
to some of the disks in the array so I can load an
Ultrix filesystem image on them. But it won't let
me mount/forreign a disk that's part of a shadow
set.
