Although they are not door to door, ForwardAir has probably the cheapest
shipping rates for large things, typically around $0.25/lb. The drawback
is that you must deliver the item to one of their regional terminals
(usually located near major airports) and retrieve it from the same.
If you can find local delivery companies to do the short haul work, it may
save you some money.
