OT: Mylex problems

I recently bought a brand new small (9.1GB) FUJITSU SCA-2 drive for $31+
shipping. 2-giggers go for about $7+freight when you find 'em around here.

The -N drives wouldn't help, since the controller is WIDE SCSI.

These drives are pretty generic. The problems are with the controller and its
plug-n-play features.

The only thing I know of that will do a "backup" without risking infection is
TAPE. DVD is too small. If you find a backup application that works reliably
(allows you to restore from its backups, performs scheduled unattended backups
and unattended restores.) under Windows, please let me know.
